Base Camp – the “Original”
Base Camp got its name because it was the first residential structure built at Gadedessa. When the owners decided they wanted to build a family retreat at Gadadessa, they needed to have a place to stay while their dream home was being built. But even after Octagon House was completed, the owners still felt a great deal of attachment to Base Camp, which had served them so well, and so they decided to that Base Camp would continue to be a very significant part of the resort.
Today, Base Camp can sleep six, in two standard rooms and one separate, upstair, junior suite. While it is a little more "Base-ic" than the Octagon House, the level of service is no different. It sits on a hilltop that overlooks a part of the tea plantation and the valley below, and offers a different kind of experience. It is the perfect spot from which to star-gaze at night and to have a more intimate, experience that a small group would enjoy.
Fall asleep listening to the sound of crickets and a gentle breeze rustling through the trees and awaken to the joyful sound of the birds greeting the new day!

- Two standard double rooms (each sleeps two)
